Great Apartment in Reykjavik! I had a fantastic stay at Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel. The apartment was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Really good coffee! The location was perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and major attractions, yet quiet and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It felt like a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The hotel was close to the old center of the city. Due to slight overbooking that day, we received a room in higher standard. It was great. Breakfast was really nice too. We stayed just for one night but would stay again if we visit Iceland once more.

Recommend 3-4 nights if not planning extensive traveling or hiking. There are plenty of group, or tour options available and I do suggest the Golden Circle tour that is about nine hours and ask for “carrot top, “as a tour guide. Rava is very very expensive and a simple steak from TGI Fridays with no drinks easily translates into $75. Soup in a bread bowl and a hard cider, and a second bowl without the bread, and tap water, was $60 + / -

Walkable, safe, beautiful, tourist friendly city. My friend and i toured it for 1.5 days on our own, and then an additional day with a tour company. For us, that was the perfect amount of time because it is not THAT big.

We spent most of the time outside of Reykjavik, visiting the beautiful sceneries of Iceland. Within Reykjavik I definitely recommend the Kolaportid flea market, and the Laugavegur street (don't be fooled by the map, not the whole length is shopping street, only the beginning). Another must see place is the Perlan, where you can watch amazing shows in the planetarium, in the Volcano Show and the Ice Cave.

We did a helicopter tour over the active volcano. They cancelled the glacier portion due to weather so that part was disappointing. We walked everywhere. The roads curved so we had to keep landmarks in sight but always found where we were going.

Reykjavik is an amazing town with many nationalities. I felt like I was in Europe and had escaped from my home in Austin, Texas. If not for the cost of living and having to use Iceland Air to get out would consider it a great place to Ex-pat to. The surrounding country is also amazing.

It is a good place. It was clean, everything was like on the pictures. Yes, it is a small building in a backyard, not a flat in a house. But it is in the center of Reykjavik, Free parking at the temple (5 minutes walk), as the host sent us in the description. Yes, not a newest design, but everything worked perfectly. If you looking for a 4 star hotel for this money, you are looking it in the wrong town. Nothing is so cheap in the city center like this. And not bad at all. So the price-value ratio is the best in this case.

An excellent place to stay if you're renting a car to avoid the traffic in downtown Reykjavik and only a 10 minute walk from the BSI terminal station if you're using public transport (this is in the opposite direction to downtown Reykjavik). The hotel staff were very helpful and always on hand if needed. The room was clean and comfortable. Didn't get chance to use the pool and spa facilities as we used the days to explore Iceland and they're not open during typical out of hour times (evening to early morning).

Without a doubt the best places to stay in downtown Reykjavik! You’re in walking distance to explore the city and are in the perfect location to be picked up for any excursions! We rented a car and there was plenty of parking for everyone. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. We absolutely loved the buffet breakfast and the staff were lovely always!

The location of this hotel is a five or ten minute walk from downtown Reykjavik and all the main attractions in downtown Reykjavik, then it's only a one to two minute walk to Skólavörðustígur to get the best view of Hallgrímskirkja 🥰
