Okay, since I’m the first one writing a review, I might as well do it a bit longer. Let me start by saying that this is a wonderful place to stay, and we absolutely recommend it for anyone on a budget! By no means a luxury apartment, but for the price it’s great! The apartment itself is like in the pictures! Lot of space and a well equipped kitchen. It’s on a very calm street, with the bedroom in the back, so very quite during the nights. The living room and kitchen are facing the street, which means they get more sunlight and a nice view! On the other side of the road it’s a little house and a cow. There is a little space in front of the house not shown in the pictures, no chairs, but enough to sit and have breakfast in the morning sun. The apartment feels well taken care of, and was very clean! It’s a close walk down to the nearest beach, but most days we walked over to Matadouro Beach were the water was a bit more shallow and calm. On the way there we picked up surf boards that we booked online on “surf’s up club”. Ten minute walk to the little square with restaurants, and even less to the closest supermarket. Also the hike to Lagoinha do Leste Beach was a beautiful day trip, finishing in the small fishing village Pantano do sul, from where you can take the bus, walk or uber. Armação itself is charming, and we thought it was the perfect size: a good compromise between tranquility and life/restaurants. Enjoy!
