The staff is very friendly and helpful (like all Myanmar people!). The set up of the reosrt is beautiful with nice little 'houses' in great and well kept gardens. The swimming ppol was in good order and so was the overall property. The room was spacious and fortunately very clean. The resort spa was small, but of very high quality - excellent massage with superb price quality - take one every dauy before dinner! I found it difficult to find a good and safe hotel in Bagan with little (recent) proper reviews - hence also my more extensive review of this nice and 'great pick!' hotel. Location is excellent and very close to all sights. Breakfast also ok for Western travellers. I will certainly look to return with my family. PS: I made use of a local tour guide: Min Thant of Tastes of Bagan (.com). I would highly recommend to book him! Everything - the most friendly and welcoming staff I have ever met. The food is excellent and everyone from reception to restaurant takes great care of customers. They upgraded my room for free. Situated in Old Bagan. Most places are very easy to reach. Will certainly come again.

Clean, stylish hostel, good breakfast. But what makes the hotel the exceptional choice is its manager, Mr. Min Yan Naing. He organized everything for us from e-bike rentals, bus tickets and even distillery visit in Mandalay.

We are very happy to choose Bagan Cottage hotel to stay during our second Bagan journey. It has an amazing interior and cosy atmosphere. It is quiet, clean and more beautiful than on the pictures. The restaurant is hygienic and the vegetarian food is delicious. The entire hotel’s team is so kind, friendly and helpful, they arranged everything around e-bikes and tuk-tuk or taxi drives, plus gave us good insight tips. The location of the hotel is near to the airport so a bit further from old Bagan, therefore not the most suitable to e-bike from the hotel. But it’s only a 10-15 min drive by taxi or tuk-tuk to inner Bagan, then hiring there an e-bike to discover the close area gives the feeling or hire a car for a full day from the hotel is also a good solution to visit the further parts of Bagan. We have had the feeling like arriving home every day after adventuring and contemplating around the breathtaking temples and pagodas of beloved Bagan. A&G

This is a modern hotel in a beautiful area, in New Bagan. The facilities are great. I loved the roof top breakfast and bar. There is restaurant ‘Basket’ opposite the hotel that serves nice food. Staff is sweet and accommodating. I absolutely loved that they have complimentary coffee and tea and water refill on the ground floor and also there are plenty of books donated by travelers on the second floor and you can sit there and read. The hotel is just as beautiful as on the pictures!

The hotel facilities are very nice the hotel has a very varied breakfast , the rooms need a remodeling. But because of the conditions the country can understand, beware you can only pay in dollars at the hotel cash in the evenings the light goes out.
