This was our favourite stay in Colombia. A beautiful setting, clean and comfortable accommodation, good breakfast and a great pizzeria next door, owned by the same family… just perfect. We stayed in the larger ‘tent’ and it was great to have the extra space for bags etc, but both options looked lovely. The owner was very helpful in arranging us mototaxis into the centre of Minca, but we also walked on other occasions and it wasn’t too far - 30 minutes. We loved going to the cascada escondida nearby, and even the river which was even closer on the same route was great for a quick dip!

Definitely a different kind of accomodation. The glamping tents are really comfortable and the toilet and showers were a very interesting experience. Location is great, employees very friendly and kind, especialy Milena.

Right in the middle of the jungle. Karen and her family are super welcoming. I stayed in a tent at the top of the Mirador with the most amazing view of the sunrise in the morning. And the air was so cool and fresh up there - such a welcome relief from the heat of the jungle. And I was surrounded by the sounds and creatures of the jungle: frogs, birds, fireflies at night. Karen's food is delicious and filling. Home made with all local ingredients. Delicious juices. And local fruits afterwards. It is really easy to get to. Just a 45 minute walk from the entrance or a 20,000 cop motorbike. It's an hour and half to walk to Playa Brava and same to Playa Nudista and 10 minutes more to Cabo San Juan. The two different paths to both are close to the hostel so it's a perfect location which to explore different areas. And Karen speaks perfect English. If I didn't have to go meet a friend in Riohacha I would have loved to stay longer. They have links to the Kogis in Tayrona and I would have been very interested to visit them and learn more about their way of life.

Wachakyta Ecolodge se nachází v destinaci Calabazo a poskytuje zahradu, soukromou pláž, terasu, bar a výhled na hory. Na místě je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi. This place is magic. It is completely cut off from any kind of road or path network which means that you have to get there by boat and, thus, the only people you encounter are other guests and staff. The accomodation is comfortable and has a huge bed with a moskito net. Everything was clean and worked as intended. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place itself is spectacular with a private beach with beds and cushions to sit or lie down on, a small reef where you can snorkel, and a path into the woods where you can observe birds and, if you are lucky, monkeys. The kitchen team also knows what they are doing as all the meals we had were really good.

The huge yard has hammocks, work area, picnic tables and restrooms. It is two blocks from a hiking trail to another beach. You do not need a car. We had a great vacation!

You are at an altitude of around 1500 m in the middle of the jungle and can enjoy the tropical birds and their background noises from the balcony. The apartment is very comfortably furnished. A very big thank you to Yurani, she prepared delicious food, organized the transport and also a trip with mules to the waterfall, an adventurous, unforgettable experience, a big thank you to Richard for this too.
