Charming Bavarian hotel, great view. Really enjoyed my stay staff were so friendly. Room was basic but was perfect for what I needed and spotlessly clean too.

The view around the hotel is MAGNIFICENT!!! I have stayed in many countryside hotels but this one is beyond comparison! The view is simply unbelievable it is like a photoshopped picture. Very clean, very accommodating and friendly staff.

Exceptional location just next to the Ramsau river and mountains. From the balcony you get to see amazing view of the mountains and nearby beautiful Bavarian style houses. It was warm and cozy inside the room. Nice that we had an exit to the balcony. The local tourist information centre was just in front of the hotel (over the river). Also, we noticed that many hiking trails that lead up to the mountains start very near this hotel. We will definitely come back in spring or summer to enjoy hiking and staying in Bergbach hotel. Moreover a pleasant surprise was the property host who spoke Latvian. He also spoke German, English and Russian. There was an option to get sauna and if we weren’t travelling with kid, would totally recommend trying because of the views you get to see from the sauna. Breakfast offered a wide variety of traditional German/Bavarian breakfast - sausages, two types of omelettes, bread, cheese, various types of meat. Also some sweets and cornflakes. Many juices and drinks (coffee,tea) to choose from. By the way, tea and coffee was for free also outside the breakfast hours.

This guest house is set in a quiet and idyllic location on a mountain in Oberau, with views across the valley towards the Watzmann and Untersberg mountains.

We have stayed here many times and always come home feeling refreshed. It's very well run, charming, relaxing, cosy and quiet. Our room was spacious with a big bathroom. Amazing views. Communal facilities are great: large, comfortable sitting room with a massive picture window onto the mountains. You don't feel crammed in with other guests. Lovely log fire. Also appreciated the sauna.

It is a very nice place to stay if you're exploring the Berchtesgaden area. I loved the location. The room had everything I needed. It was very cosy and with an exceptional view from the balcony. Will, hopefully, stay again sometime. Public transport conveniently takes you to the Alpenpension and from there to anywhere nearby. By the way, the public transport is free! (if you're staying a night or few in the area). In the Alpenpension, you get access to a fridge, tea, coffee, and a few drinks, if you want some (have to pay additional for those, but the prices don't bite at all). All and all – great! Would definitely recommend!

Our first vacation in Bavaria was a huge success. The hostess was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere warm and cozy, the breakfasts delicious, and the landscapes stunning. Everything was just as we imagined. The room was nice and warm, and it felt like we weren’t staying in a regular hotel but visiting friends with a very friendly and welcoming vibe.
