Both me and my husband were travelling to a few places in France by car.we had booked 3 places on line.Staying with 2 Gentlemen and their beautiful dog was a big plus for us .the apartment they had was so beautiful. Spotless.everything was provided down to the breakfast .I would highly recommend this beautiful appartmet without hesitation. The beaches are a leasurely 15 mins walk away. - Stephanie was a great host, sincerely interested in her guests and supporting whenever needed. Certainly among the best hosts we had so far - The room was small, still well designed to fit our family of 3 including our stuff for a 4 weeks trip - great breakfast, Stephanie and Christophe are running a boulangerie foodtruck on weekends, the quality of which you can taste

Le Laternon is a home and an adventure in one. Everywhere you turn you are comforted and delighted by what you see and feel. From the incredible art works on the walls to the perfectly worn wood and finders linens….. it was difficult to tear myself away to venture outside. I imagine coming back in the wintertime. And Autumn, and spring….again and again.

If you get chance to small room at the top of the hotel is perfect for seeing the whole of St Martin de Re whilst being able the reflect and relax. An amazing place to stay

Ingrid was incredible and made everything easy for us, changing our room to make it more accessible with our baby and providing everything we might need like a cot, bath and high chair. It was perfect! The room was amazing and the kitchen and living areas are beautiful. Ingrid even had toys, blankets and parasols for the beach for us and advised the places to go! I would recommend it to anyone visiting.

Nice location, two nice pools available, as well as a lot of books. Good location in a very nice town on Île de Ré.
