We stayed at The Devonian a number of times over the past years - our first time was in 2005, this August we spent 5 nights there on occasion of the Manx Grand Prix. We keep coming back because Kevin and Gillian run a most excellent guest house. They are very kind, welcoming and hospitable proprietors, who go out of their way to make you feel at home, together with their friendly support staff. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfast options are varied and cooked to order - we tried most of them (not all, as there are just too many choices for only a 5-night stay!) and all were simply delicious. We cannot recommend this guesthouse enough!

The location was great, just behind the prom, in a quiet area Bus stop close by and an easy stroll along the prom into Douglas centre and the electric tram in the other direction. The suite was clean and comfortable with plenty of sockets. The inclusion of breakfast items and tea and coffee was a very thoughtful and welcome addition. Cindy the host was super friendly and informative and made sure we had everything to make our stay a good one. It was a great place to stay. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Bed and Blueberry to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable and friendly stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at Adelphi House. As others have said, it might be in need of some updating, but it's an old house and I really had no complaints. It was clean, and the room I was in had a new carpet and a nice firm mattress. Even though the accommodation was fully booked, there wasn't much noise disturbance - I slept great. And the hosts were fantastic. So accomodating and friendly. I felt very welcome here. The breakfast was substantial and Eric remembered my menu preferences for breakfast, choice of green tea, etc., on the second morning. It felt a little like staying a few nights in a family member's house. The location is perfect - close to the promenade and a walkable distance to the seaport, bus stops, TT Grandstand, etc. I am fortunate enough that the narrow stairs and steep road from the promenade weren't an issue for me but, if mobility issues or large suitcases are to be considered, keep those two factors in mind. I would definitely stay here again on my next Isle of Man visit.
