Location was central, near town. Nice garden to sit and see the lake and mountains. Near a nice walking trail round Grasmere Lake. Richard, the host was most helpful and friendly. Room was warn and heated.

The Moss Grove Organic offers 5-star guest accommodation. The spacious en suite rooms have flat-screen TVs, free internet access is available throughout.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely and charming place. The staff was wonderful, the room was amazing as was the bathroom, and the breakfast was exceptional. We had such a lovely time here and would love to return in the future!! Can't say enough great things about the entire experience!!

We had a wonderful stay in the B&B. The breakfast was superb and the surroundings just amazing! We highly recommend the Old School House to anyone who wants a beautiful retreat in the Lakeside District!!!

Everything was perfect: the room was cozy and clean, there was a nice selection of teas, hot chocolate and coffee. The toiletries were of excellent quality, and the towels soft and comfy. The breakfast choice also was very good, the food was delicious and of good quality. Amanda & Mark were really good hosts, and they suggested us a nice walk.

The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.

When we arrived and I asked if they had a carpet free room because I had had asthma problems at our previous hotel, they could offer us a beautiful wood-floored room at an extra price, but it was definitely worth it. I loved the multiple kinds of fresh cut-up fruit at breakfast. Breakfast, though not a cooked breakfast, was ample and delicious. The B&B is a few steps from the bus stop where all the buses stop to go all over the Lake District. Staff friendly and helpful.
