Great location. We stayed in a self contained apartment with kitchen and sitting area which was spacious and jcomfortable. It was great to have the use of bikes to explore Lucca. Parking was easy and convenient. Carlos was super friendly and provided lots of recommendations for food and attractions, including parking! Great pizza place two doors down, and patisserie a few minutes walk. Would recommend this place as a base for exploring Lucca and attractions further afield.

Excellent communication from host. Warm vibrant personality. Able to leave luggage early but my room had been cleaned so I could check in as well which I very much appreciated. Location easy walk from train through medieval walls along to amphitheater area which the shared kitchen area looks straight over. Priceless. Coffee machine. lovely coffee. Spotlessly clean area. The main door opens straight across to the wonderful mosaics of San Frediano Rooms modernised with tasteful decor super clean super comfy fast stable wifi. Exceptional property. Very highly recommend

Beautiful, historical villa with amazing lavender and rose garden and calm pool. The location was good - near the bus stop to Lukka old town (very close by bus). The wi-fi signal was very good. The room was comfortable, stylish, spacious and clean. Double bed was big and very comfortable and we slept very well. In the room was really quiet. The air condion works good. The best are hosts, Edmondo and Juliana. They are very kind, nice and helpful. Both speak english well and give good advices. They made a delicious, italian breakfasts in the garden every morning - warm cornetto and amazing cappuccino, yoghurt with fresh fruits from the garden and honey. In the kithen is a fridge, coffee machine, glasses, cutleries - you can use them anytime. The garden is quite and beautiful, where you can rest and calm. We really enjoyed the stay and truly relaxed here. To visit Lukka or travel to Tuscany we recommend stay in Edmondo's guesthouse - il buen retiro!!!

The host was very nice and welcoming, the property itself was in a good location, however in the morning sounds from the street were well heard. The ac had a funny smell, but it wasn’t really needed, because it wasn’t that hot
