Being tucked away with just a couple of horses for neighbours, in a stylish and immaculately clean studio, a stones throw from the heathland was perfect. We were asked about dietary requirements in advance and just hoped we might get some nondairy milk, we got so much more - mushrooms, bread, jam, marmite, plant based butter (not marg), cereal, granola, berries, orange juice, tea and coffee and all good quality (Waitrose). Honestly excellent :)

A recently renovated guest house set in Brockenhurst, Chestnut Cottage New Forest features a garden. It is situated 11 km from Beaulieu and offers bicycle parking. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. I was only there for one day (2 nights) but it was like being at home. It was everything and more. Great location for walking and cycling and not far from the village. I will definitely be back, thank you.

Host was extremely helpful and accommodating even put up a birthday banner when I told her we were celebrating my husband’s birthday!

The open fires in the bar and restaurant offer a dinner setting during winter. With its home-cooked food that uses fresh, local ingredients, guests at The White Buck can have a breakfast in the mornings or a Fuller's beer-battered fish and chips at lunch. Lovely cosy well equipped room. Dog friendly! Great service by a wonderful team of staff. Comfy bed, wide choice at breakfast and we really enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant. Nice garden with lots of seating and shade.
