The hosts (Jawe and Tata) were very welcoming and attentive to any needs. The place has a very relaxing atmosphere and is ideal to chill out with a pleasant lounge and terrace right on the water front (don't fall in😎). Easy to walk around town and to nearby beaches. We are in our 60's and had 2 days at different beaches and saw large monkeys in the wild - would not have seen them on a motorcycle! Tata makes a beautifully presented and tasty breakfast each day - all different. Tea and coffee available. I would say due to staff, location and vibe this is the place to stay. Highly recommend. It truly was a floating Paradise! We loved every single minute of it. Nothing around you, cannot get more relaxing, crystal clear water, fish & coral reef as part of your view. The sound of the water under your feet … it was my husband’s birthday and I wanted something special for him, this was an amazing experience for both. Extremely clean, Bathroom was beautiful and comfortable! The host went far and beyond to help us short notice on the return ticket for the ferry, we will be always thankful for that 🙏.

Beautiful swimming pool and Javanese bungalows, Bobby is so funny and do his best to make you feel relaxed and at home. Breakfast super and tour organized by Bobby among rice fields with local people was the best experience we had!

Breakfast was truly amazing. Dinner was so fantastic. All food was delicious and beautifully prepared. This resort was like living in a dream. The rice paddies, the gardens and the overall feel of a real ancient Indonesian accommodation. Staff was so respectful and polite. The pool was clean and refreshing. We adored this place.

The hostel ia very close to the temple entrance, the reception guy is very nice and can provide info, facilities are great too (wifi, lockers, curtains for the beds, cleanliness, air con). Also, free cold water and coffee in the morning. It's a pity very little people come to spend a night in Borobudur. It's a very cute town and you can have nice walks in the rice fields just behind the temple or going towards the Chicken Church.

44 Guest House Syariah se nachází v destinaci Purwokerto. Owabong se nachází 21 km daleko a Mount Slamet 37 km. Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!
