We stayed at this hotel for two nights in the beginning of our visit to Oman. We decided to come back for one more night before heading back to Sweden. We had the most wonderful stay with Salem. We immediately felt welcome and at home through Salem and Sanoos’s amazing hospitality - from constantly offering us chai and coffee to helping us with our laundry (which was so above and beyond - thank you Sanoos). Salem took us to the beach our first night which ended up being a magical experience - fishing for huge tuna out of the back of his boat with his brother, Walid, at sunset. We had the BBQ dinner with the fish we caught (must do) which was the freshest fish we’ve ever eaten! The next day, we had such an amazing time snorkeling with turtles (it was unbelievable), spotting them in the sea, and swimming in a calm cove. Easily one of our favorite experiences in Oman and our best stay in Oman. We will be back! Shokran, Salem!

Wow, we loved our stay with Amur and his family at the Desert Heart Camp. We didn't have a 4x4, so he met us and drove us first to his village for some coffee and dates, and then we had so much fun going dune bashing. Amur arranged for us a camel ride for the sunset and it was lovely. We were the last two staying at the camp before he closed for the season but you wouldn't have known it as we were treated so well. His children are precious. We made traditional bread over the fire and dinner was absolutely delicious! The open-fire grilled camel meat was tasty! We waddled to bed full and drifted off to sleep to the wind blowing through the tent. Breakfast was great and my husband enjoyed his second coffee walking around the dunes. We then left the desert oasis to continue on our journey, taking with us some wonderful memories of our time with this sweet family. Thank you Amur!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sand House. The location was great, super easy to get to with a sedan, and it's right at the end of the dunes, so it was a nice walk to see the sunset. The rooftop was a lovely place to just take in the views and enjoy the sunrise. The house had all the amenities/facilities you need. We didn't cook, but the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook/have a meal. The pool! We enjoyed night swimming/taking a dip in the pool, which was nice and refreshing amidst the desert heat. Special thanks to Camarol, who was fantastic from pre-check in until check out. The entire house was absolutely spotless, he patiently answered all our questions, and made us the most delicious breakfast. Wish we stayed longer, but definitely pinning this location for the future!

So we were unsure whether to book this or not because of the reviews here, but took the risk! The property was absolute AMAZING, the location was perfect, but the staff were unbelievable! I mentioned it’s one of our friends birthdays and he went out to FILL the villa with balloons, decorations, birthday cake, candy, and lots of other fun things for when we arrived! We all arrived at awkward timings but he made sure to meet us super early to check in. He arranged a chef to cook us a bbq, constantly made sure we were well looked after, the villa is amazing, clean, comfortable, awesome cinema room, the pool and jacuzzi were amazing, and there’s a steam room! Huge villa but still very homely feeling, 100% recommend and we will definitely be back soon! Again thank you so much to the staff for making sure we were well looked after and going above and beyond at every stage! You were awesome !
