The owner was friendly and engaging, providing insightful conversations about the region, Slovenia, and a wide range of topics. I wholeheartedly recommend it. P.S Don't miss the local fish restaurant as it is pretty unique and very good.

We didn't arrive at the stated time, but the owners left us the key in the safe at the entrance. In the kitchen you can prepare your own food. There is a spacious washing machine, ironing board and iron. We washed and ironed all our work clothes. The apartments are clean and very warm. You can easily park a minibus in the parking lot. We really liked everything.

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Solčava, Boutique rooms Pri Rogovilcu is a guest house surrounded by views of the river. The property features a private beach area, barbecue facilities and private parking among other facilities. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The guest house features mountain views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The accommodation was excellent. We stayed in a spacious room, more like a studio, with comfortable beds. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The view from the room overlooked a serene stream and a meadow with sheep - absolutely idyllic. Although it’s located by a road, the traffic was so minimal that we slept with the windows open. Breakfast was a highlight. They brought us a basket filled with authentic local food, sourced from their own produce and their neighbour's’. Enjoying it outside while listening to the stream and watching the trees was a perfect start to the day. The hosts were wonderful - very welcoming and helpful. They provided a quick introduction at check-in, offering tips for daily trips and food recommendations, making it easy to plan even if you arrive without a set itinerary. You can tell this place was designed with care and attention to detail. It’s truly Slovenian hospitality at its finest!

Guesthouse Planinski Dom Majerhold has a garden, bar and shared lounge in Solčava. The property features mountain and garden views. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. There is nothing not to like about this place! The room was clean, quiet, spacious, and had a terrace with a fantastic view of the mountains. The location is ~10 minutes drive to Logarska Dolina, and there are hiking trails right out the door, including an easy one to Matka Kot with goat milk ice cream along the way :) They are also sustainable and have different bins to easily sort waste. What really sets the guesthouse apart though is the staff - Katja is so friendly with plenty of suggestions for things to do and what traditional foods to eat. Every night the guesthouse offers a different traditional meal, and we enjoyed each one she recommended to us. And her daughter’s desserts are delicious! We had a wonderful time in this area of Slovenia and would definitely recommend a stay here!
