The hotel was the most cleanest ever. Silence. Fabio who received us was amazing. I really recommend this hotel if wanna have a nice experience in Porto Venere. We had ZERO problem. Everything was perfect.

L' Ancora is run by a wonderful Italian family and the host Silvano is an exceptional man. From check in to check out Silvano was there to assist us. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable, we were not in the room with the sea view but it was still a bright room with plenty of space, great shower, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast served in the room every morning. Silvano had wonderful restaurant recommendations and was always there to help. We arrived by car and he ensured there was a space for us in the nearby underground parking by the grand hotel, this is not a cheap option but did mean the car was in a safe place for our stay. We very much hope to return one day :)

Everything was superb. The location was perfect, there is a balcony overlooking the water, the rooms were clean and spacious. They set the table for us for breakfast and provided us with an array of breakfast options, served right at our door each morning. The host was so sweet and friendly. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

    Excellent location, easy 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. A lovely terrace overlooking the harbour. Clean, modern bathroom with good shower, comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities plus a fridge, wine glasses and corkscrew. Marco is a good host with lots of suggestions where to eat. Friendly and with fast, efficient communication.

    The family run hotel & restaurant are exceptionnal. Location is unbelievable and the room with the sea view have a wonderfull view on Porto Venere. The atmosphere is typically italian and pretty much appreciated by locals or italians. The rooms are simple but bedding comfortable. The little plus is that you are picked up at Porto Venere with a boat and the service is free and is organised according to your wish. Great experience to arrive in boat to Locanda Lorena.

    Beautiful sea view from the window and balcony. Appartement very well equipped and made with good taste. A great host - we had a nice welcome surprise and breakfast of choice plus some tips on what to visit around. We parked at the street not so far from the apartment which is a good option for short stays - free during the night and 3eur/h during the day
