The tranquil environment, coupled with the sounds of local wildlife, creates a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Just be prepared that you will access the house via a steep gravel road just slightly outside of the main part of Santa Elena. It's good to have an SUV with good ground clearance in Monteverde and this is no different.

Jorge got me milk for my tea which was very kind.

Breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options. The owners were so nice and accommodating, they spoke Spanish to us but slowly so we could try and understand, which was great because we were trying to practice our Spanish. The accommodation was super close to the beach which there were not many people so it was great. There was also a sloth named George in the tree out the front which was an awesome suprise! Overall a great stay!
