My husband and I enjoyed our stay! The room was nice and clean as was the whole hotel. The beds were very comfortable and our room was just the right size. The location is perfect for a beautiful view overlooking the Port. The view from the balcony was breathtaking at night . Dodo and her husband were amazing hosts so nice and very helpful with all the attractions and things to do in the city! Swimming off the pier was nice and refreshing with the heat! Would highly recommend staying here! Very friendly and attentive staff, and an excellent location (right by the ferry port and bus stops). This is a slightly quieter part of town, but you're still very close to the action if you want to be. The room was modern and beautifully furnished, and also very clean. We received a hamper with local food upon arrival which was lovely. The property also provided us with an excellent list of local restaurants, many of which we tried and which were all amazing. The bathroom was huge and felt very luxurious, and included lots of special details. The airconditioning worked very well, and I saw that the apartment also had central heating so it would probably be very cosy here in winter as well! As we are young we didn't mind the staircase down to the bathroom and toilet (this was a feature specific to our room, the 1864) - however, this might be something to be aware of if you're older and have a lot of difficulty with steps. For us the staircase added to the charm of the apartment, as it meant that the bathroom was on an entirely different floor. It almost felt like we were staying in a house! I also noticed that reviews for the other rooms were impressed by the soundproofing - our room was a bit noisier because it was right in front of a parking spot for motorbikes, so there was occasional noise when someone would leave or arrive. We didn't find this annoying, but if you're a very light sleeper you may prefer to book one of the other rooms at the property. I would definitely stay here again!

Jen 600 metrů odtud se nachází Pláž Asteria a Kostel St. The location was excellent walking distance to everything.And the accommodation was very nice, the place had 2 patios, which I enjoyed Kostas the owner meet me at the town square the day I arrived which was really nice of him, made things easier for me. If I ever I get back to Syros I would definitely wants to stay At Villa Maria again.

Kostel St. Fantastic location. Very clean rooms. Fairly quiet as not on the main road. Easy walk to everywhere. Christina was really helpful with tips on where to go and places to eat. As we went just after Easter baskets of chocolate eggs and sweets on every level.Totally enjoyed our stay.

From the moment we arrived on a delayed ferry after 11 pm and Dimitris was waiting for us in the corner of the street with a big smile, we knew we had made the right decision to stay at his hotel. Actually we had planned to stay only 2 nights and move somewhere else, but right away we decided to stay the entire 5 nights here.This used to be his grandfather's home, which has been lovingly transformed into a 12-room small family run hotel on 3 floors in the heart of beautiful Ermoupoli. The ample rooms are tastefully furnished, have comfortable beds and linens, and have a modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the main square and the harbor, accessible to everything in the city and a free bus to beautiful Ano Syros. The room was daily cleaned with a change of linens (if you wish, we don't since we're trying to save the planet). Our room was facing a small street with a bougainvillea spilling thru the window. We felt at home right away and would love to come back to Syros and to Oisyra Hotel. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Our stay was short but truly perfect. Everything was excellent – from the accommodation to the cleanliness. The host was very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night but felt immediately comfortable. Highly recommended!

The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Beaches, taxi driver and restaurant recommendations all great. The roof top courtyard was lovely, unfortunately it was too windy to sit out comfortably most days we were there. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of town.

As a solo traveler I felt like I was really taken care of, and all my needs were met above and beyond. Every single detail of the property was carefully chosen by the owner so you get a real feeling of being at home. Loved the interiors so much and in particular the big bathroom and the way how it was nicely restored. The view that arises from the top of Ano Syros was magnificent during the daylight and as well the moonlight at nights was pretty magical. The breakfast was including some of the local produce from the owners garden so everything was very fresh and tasty and quite generous.
