It was my first time in Kusatsu and I am really happy that I chose the Buna Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I love its modern side while still keeping a very traditional Japanese atmosphere. The place is beautiful, very quiet, and the welcome was so polite. I will recommend this hotel to my friends in France, and I truly hope to come back to Kusatsu one day. Arigatō gozaimasu! 🙏✨

It was an amazing experience in my hometown, appreciated all moments of it. Shunkosan was really helpful and amazing host for our needs. Zazen and chanting experience are to be remembered. Definitely would like to come back.

Particularly as a cyclist, it is ideal because of Tim's cycling background and experience. If you want to ride the famous Nakasendo cycling route, there is no better place to start as it is literally outside his door. And, they rent out superb bikes for the journey either guided by a professional guide or self guided.

We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and the convenience of being able to reach out for any help, making this an overall excellent experience.

Loved summer hiking from this beautiful mountain lodge to escape the city heat. 3 minutes walk to bus service with access to multiple trailheads throughout Shiga Kogen. The owners create such a welcoming cosy space to escape - thoughtful, stylish, beautifully presented. Incredible quality in a home-feel environment. Private in-house onsen, superb home cooked meals. Highly recommend both breakfast and dinner (best decision)!

First of all, Kei-san and Akari-chan were so so friendly and very nice! I truly loved the Karasu theme that they had and I can really see how Kei-san absolutely loves crows! The place is well thought out, very very cosy, very nice coffee and despite me staying for just one night, it was an unforgettable experience! I would love to someday bring friends over here for my next visit in Takasaki. Hope to see Kei-san expand to other locations too! Arigatogozaimasu Kei-san 🙏
