The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful. It’s in a more remote location, so it’s very peaceful. The couple running たね are so very kind, and their cooking is exceptional. Breakfast was so delicious. We wish we spoke better Japanese so we could have talked more. They were such interesting people.

We feel so lucky to have met the hosts and been able to stay in this amazing home. Staying here is just an incredible experience, the home is stunning and fun to explore, the views are great and the hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our only wish is that we had stayed even longer.

Himawari se nachází v destinaci Minami Aso a nabízí zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a výhled na hory. The owner was so welcoming. Facility was well decorated and super clean. We got upgraded to a better room, which had view of Mt Aso. Bed was comfortable. Hotel looks better than the photos.

Yoshi was one of the most welcoming hosts I’ve met. He took the time to explain the area in detail, which really helped me make the most out of my stay and gave me extra motivation to explore. The BBQ he organizes was not only delicious but also a unique chance to meet people and enjoy a local experience. The sleeping area was quiet, comfortable, and well taken care of, making it easy to rest after a full day. Overall, a wonderful stay that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Wakka se nachází v destinaci Minami Aso a nabízí zahradu, bezplatné Wi-Fi a neplacené soukromé parkoviště pro hosty, kteří přijedou autem. We loved our stay in Wakka. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. It is well located in the south part of Aso's caldeira and a good spot to explore the area if you have a car. Despite being quite deeply hidden in the nature of Aso, Wakka was quite easy to find. Instructions send ahead to find the route were clear, there was little signs showing the way and the Google Maps location was correct. The room was clean, the bed confortable and with a little terrace to go with it! The hosts were very nice and even offered us a snack for the road after check-out! If you want a very peaceful and authentic experience of Aso, surrounded by trees, i recommend you stay at Wakka!!!

Minshuku Hiroshimaya se nachází v destinaci Kumamoto a poskytuje ubytování s sdíleným loungem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a terasou. Former Hosokawa Residence je 1,8 km daleko. The staff is super nice and offered to drive me from and back to the station. The breakfast is an amazing japanese breakfast with varying dishes from day to day. The location was very unique and I enjoyed waking up in a temple, however some might prefer being closer to the public transfer. The walk down and up is amazing though. I recommend to stay here warmly.

Dyeing and Hostel Nakashimaya - Female Only se nachází v destinaci Kumamoto a nabízí ubytování s terasou. Jen 1,7 km odtud se nachází Hrad Kumamoto a Former Hosokawa Residence je 1,9 km daleko. the host was really kind and friendly, allowed me check in earlier and offered me a larger room with no charge, also introduced the city and shops nearby to me. the place is very cozy and warm, definitely a good choice for a solo traveller with good price, highly recommended.

Minpaku Jaito-民泊じゃいと-Homestay in Traditional House se nachází v destinaci Amakusa v oblasti Kumamoto a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi a neplacené soukromé parkoviště. The owners were very kind and generous! We stayed during the heavy rain and floods, so the owners drove us to the convenience store to buy food. The house is very cosy and comfortable!

I spent two wonderful nights at this traditional guest house. The hosts were so kind and we spent a lovely night together with the other guests cooking with their local, fresh vegetables and chatting. Thank you

Omusubi share house JAPANEZE STYLE se nachází v dobré lokalitě v destinaci Mamihara. Lake Ezu se nachází jen 50 km odtud. We were slightly sceptical about this place as it only had two reviews, but we are so glad we booked. This was a great guesthouse with traditional Japanese rooms in a gorgeous village. The host was incredibly helpful (even walking us to a local restaurant to make sure we got a space as everywhere was fully booked). We felt incredibly welcome, had comfy beds, a lovely room, and everything we needed.
