We had an absolutely outstanding stay here. The place is unreal in its beauty, nestled in the middle of the Alishan mountains surrounded by superb trails. Mornings are filled with watching some of the most beautiful sunrises from the own observation deck. At night you can enjoy the best hot pot I have ever had (being vegetarian or vegan). Whole hearted recommendation. Great location to explore the region.

The air conditioner was very strong and the TV had many channels. The host was very warm, welcoming, diligent, friendly, and helpful. There is a great night market and many stores nearby.

The son helped us carry our luggages to the 2nd floor. The place has no elevator. Our room is huge with all the basic amenities. It's got a great view from the patio. On clear days one can view the sun rise there. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. It's about a 10 min drive from the Tai Ping sky ladder. There are no resturants close by, so grab your bento from the Tai Ping old street. Highly recommended.

The host was the most amazing guy we have met on our trip, super lovely and kind! He stayed late to make sure we could check in and showed us everything despite us arriving really late. The place is owned and run by a family that has been rooted in the Alishan region for generations and has grown tea for decades. They will tell you whatever you want to know about the region and Alishan tea, which is considered one of the best in Taiwan and even in China. They will make you feel truly welcome throughout your stay and will help you with anything you might need. If you are looking for something other than yet another beige hotel room and continental breakfast buffet, this is definitely the place for you. Be careful, though - Taiwanese people take their food very seriously, and so do the owners! Breakfast here resembles what we in Europe would consider a two-course dinner. And it’s exquisite. In short: peaceful, relaxing, and unforgettable.
