Kukummi Lodge - formerly Mackaya Bella Country Lodge se nachází v destinaci Champagne Valley a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a terasou. Kukummi is a wonderful lodge in an exceptional location. There are only three guest accommodations - each with its own rondavel. The atmosphere is therefore very personal, which I really liked, travelling on my own this time. Both hosts - Ryan and Danny - are super nice and make you feel like a friend from the moment you arrive. If you are interested, Ryan will be happy to tell you more about the place, the history of the lodge and the plans of the two owners. I was fascinated by his stories and couldn't stop asking more details (hope you didn't mind me bothering, Ryan... ;o) The staff is very attentive and eager to fulfill your every wish. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. There is not much choice at dinner, but a fixed weekly menu, which is completely understandable given the small size of the hotel. I really enjoyed the meat dishes, but vegetarians also have no problem - Danny, the co-owner, is one himself. Various options were offered for breakfast. My personal favorite was the English breakfast prepared by Dombi - nothing was missing and it was excellently prepared... a dream! You have a wonderful view of the mountains and can go hiking from the lodge, but those who are not so adventurous can also enjoy this very special place in itself. My favorite spot for sunny days was in the meadow by the stream, where you can dip into the clear mountain water whenever it gets too warm. And: don't miss out the hot tub in the evening. It's such a great moment when you stretch out in the large, pleasantly temperate tub, with a cold beer or a glass of wine in your hand... I have every intention of coming back - preferably in September, when everything is in bloom.

Having stayed in countless accommodations, the Graceland Cottage unquestionably ranks among our Top 10. It is almost like a manor house, offering plenty of space, two large bedrooms, a great lounge, and a winter garden with a terrace that boasts a million-dollar view of the Drakensberg Mountains (Monks Cowl). We almost felt like we were on the "Out-of-Africa" farm from the movie — and all of this at an unbeatable price. It has all the amenities you could wish for, including a cozy fireplace (with firewood provided), braai facilities, complimentary tea/coffee/milk, a lovely pool area, and an adorable dog. Furthermore, it is one of the cleanest and most well-maintained accommodations we have ever stayed in, where you won’t find a speck of dust. The hosts are very kind and polite, always ready for a little chat and willing to help when needed, and they gave us great recommendations for hiking routes and restaurants.

Berghouse and Cottages is situated in a rural setting, high up in the Northern Drakensberg Hills, 30 km from Bergville. Free WiFi is available in each cottage. The location is beautiful with incredible views especially from cottage 4 & 9. Cottage 4 was very nicely decorated and furnished. We opted for the homemade evening meal which was great, as was the breakfast. We were warmly welcomed, and looked after. I would not hesitate to return, especially with so many great hiking trails.

Comes with tea, coffee, fresh milk, bottled water. Place was so clean and so cozy. Fully equipped with a TV, wifi, air conditioning. Definitely great 10/10. The attention to detail was everything. From the little treats left on the bedside to the rusk biscuits which were so thoughtful. Super friendly owners. This will definitely be a place I would want to come back to.

Tento penzion nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi.... It’s the perfect gateway spot for family or a group of friends. We had a great time over there. The caretaker, Mavis, made us feel so welcome.
