Surrounded by a large garden, Youthhostel Lugano features an outdoor pool with deckchairs and sunshades, as well as children’s playground and volleyball, badminton and table tennis facilities. Very friendly staff who made me feel welcomed not only to the hostel but also to the city. Ticino ticket that enables free public transport is a really good invention and I suggest strongly other tourists to use it.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. The room location and facilities were exceptional. I have to add that I booked a single room and therefore was moved to the neighboring Continental Park Hotel. So just something to take into account.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. i had to check in late due to a late night train, but the staffs were super helpful in ensuring that i manage to check in by myself. got a shared dorm all by myself and i thought the staffs were very considerate because i was pretty worried that i would wake the roommate during late night if i had one.

Nastanitev Ostello Pro Osco je v mestu Faido, 47 km od znamenitosti Izvir reke Ren - jezero Tomasee in 48 km od znamenitosti Castelgrande Castle. The simplicity of check in using codes to enter the house and room. The rooms are newly renovated (Aug 2025) with an excellent bed and shower/bathroom. Loved my stay. Highlight was having supper in the villages Restaurant Osteria Salzi (village square). Would recommend both to anyone hiking through on the Strada Alta and the Trans Swiss Route (Nr 2).

Friendly staff, good breakfast. The restaurant is good, very tasty food. It has a hostel vibe but for the price, it's great. Better to have a car... not central. Very spacious showers. The view from the terrace is fantastic!

Set in the historical city centre of Bellinzona, Youth Hostel Bellinzona is just 500 metres from The Three Castles of Bellinzona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hostel serves a buffet breakfast. Clean and quiet hostell. Location is suoerb! Fridge, microwave and lockers. Locked carage for bicycle. Easy to arrive with train. The private room was large enough to stay some days.
