Great stay for a short trip. The location is unbeatable, really accessible and safe at any hour. Staff has been above and beyond, really thoughtful and available. If you set your expectations right (it's after all a shared dorm room at a price well below a hotel), you'll have a great experience.

Wontonmeen is maybe best hostel experience I've ever had. A magical place from which doors keep opening into another chamber of wonders of the building - and Hong Kong. It’s an adventurous place. Suddenly one floor down you discover another lounge and kitchen and gaming tables and screens, books and exciting art and then down another flight of stairs a place where live music is played sometimes and movies (can) be shown. The owner, Patricia, spontaneously invites you to go on little hikes in the morning via the WhatsApp group, she takes you to hidden places you would never discover on your own. Patricia is an interior designer and the mixed bedroom is very special, with clever gadgets and details. Each guest can create their own private bunk in the structure, with covers, brackets, lamp, you have cables and charging boxes. You can have earplugs, but in my case there was no need for them, everyone of the others was very respectful. It’s a very social place, but not meant as a party hostel. The elevator takes you up to the roof terrace from where you have a fantastic view of Kowloon. On the road a 7/11 about 200 meters away, a lively area with stores and restaurants. The nearest metro station is about 10 minutes away, buses go up and down the street in front of the hostel.

Our group of 19 people flew in from Malaysia for a MacLehose Trail trekking trip. As you can imagine, each of us carried two large bags: one luggage and one hiking backpack. Despite our bulky baggage and large group size, the hostel treated us incredibly well. Before our arrival, the staff proactively reached out to us via WhatsApp to arrange early check-in, making the whole process super smooth and efficient when we got there. We really appreciated that thoughtful gesture, it saved us a lot of time and hassle. They also thoughtfully arranged separate rooms for the girls and boys, and the girls’ room even came with two shower booths and two toilets, which was extremely convenient. While it's true that rooms in Hong Kong tend to be small, The Mahjong’s clever bunk bed design (with upper and lower compartments) made it easy for us to store all our bags and still have space to organize everything nicely. Another bonus: they offer laundry services with pick-up and return within a few hours: super helpful for trekkers like us. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and we had no issues at all. Location-wise, although it’s not right in the heart of Mong Kok, it’s still very convenient, just about 300 meters from the To Kwa Wan MTR station, and surrounded by several nearby bus stops, making it easy to get around the city. On top of that, the vibe of the hostel was great. We met some really friendly fellow travelers, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Truly a top-notch backpacker hostel in Hong Kong! ❤️

Located within 200 metres of Ladies Market and 200 metres of MTR Mong Kok Station, Lup Tuc Hostel provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Hong Kong. We liked that it was very clean and near to some very nice restaurants and establishments.

Very clean room and comfortable beds. The location is also great, 8 minutes walk to the Ma Wan beach where there are nice restaurants.

Bradbury Jockey Club Youth Hostel asub Hongkongis, 12 km kaugusel Che Kungi templist ja 15 km kaugusel Wong Tai Sini templist. Majutusasutuses on ühisköök. Nice location in Tai Mei Tuk, close to hiking routes (Wilson Trail) and frequent minibuses to Tai Po.
