Laundry is available at an extra charge. The owner was very welcoming and offered to change our rooms since we arrived early and there was another room with better view available. She did a brief introduction of Hakone and gave us a map of attractions to visit. It is cold during the winter but the bedsheets and heater kept us warm. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is 43 km from the hostel. Honestly one of the nicest hostels I've every stayed at, the room design is very creative allowing for a remarkable amount of privacy. I liked the 3rd floor lounge, the view was spectacular and it was really convenient. Suitable for long-term stays as well.

The hostel has a sauna and shared lounge, and Yokohama Marine Tower is less than 1 km away. I loved the location in Chinatown. The spa is very nice as well. I stayed in the ladies area and it was perfect. The staff are really friendly. As mentioned in previous reviews, I don’t think I’d like staying in the mixed dorm area as it opens up to the common area or the door to the ladies shower and toilet area.
