Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Awesome style, I love it. Quiet and tidy. The restaurant is really good. I can recommend it

Set in Fujiyoshida, within 2 km of Fuji-Q Highland and 5.6 km of Lake Kawaguchi, Hostel Mt. Fuji - FUKUYA offers accommodation with a terrace and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The hostess was a very nice Japanese lady with excellent English. She even offered us free breakfast, which she made herself and was delicious. The rooms were in Japanese style, with probably one of the most comfy beds we ever slept in. The super clean toilet and bathroom were shared, but since there are only a few rooms, it was no issue for us. The internet speed was excellent.

We had a very warm welcome and great advice from our host, who also always kept the surroundings remarkably clean and tended to any of our needs. Our Japanese-style room was the cherry on the top, traditional and functional, comfortable and cozy, cleaner than most hotels.
