The name says it all. Couldn’t find a more tranquil place than here. Daniella and Tony are awesome hosts! Only a short walk to town, yet far enough away to emerce yourself in nature.

We had an amazing stay at La Urraca Loca. The location on the island is perfect for most activities. The hostel is an oasis of beautiful plants and the rooms are great. Also Daniel is very helpful and attentive. I’ve recommended this hostel to everyone who visits Ometepe since it is probably my favorite on in my two months in Central-America. Also shoutout to the lovely kitten Gnocchi (such a good name.. ;))

I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. In the evening time they had candles everywhere and lights. It was so beautiful. They also have a lookout place where you can see the volcano during the day and stars at night time. It was a super quiet and chill place. They also had kitties which is a big bonus.

The host! She is amazing!! She helped us with everything, we got sick and she literally took care of us. The location is great and the rooms are big enough with private bathroom, the breakfast was amazing as well.

El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel je Backpackers hostel a permaculture farma současně. Nabízíme různé druhy pohostinnosti, jako jsou soukromé pokoje, společné pokoje, kempování a houpací sítě. The most wonderful and magical place to stay on the island if you are a nature lover. The place is great, in the middle of the jungle, the staff are wonderful, food is so tasty. They organise daily activities such as yoga, cacao ceremonies, permaculture tour etc. It’s a eco sustainable place, japanease showers, and know that you are surrounded by nature, so it is what it is, if you look for a fancy place it’s not here, but if you look for authenticity, to learn from Chris the owner who is super knowledgeable and grow everything here, it’s the place. Great vibe! Beds are confortable and clean- they have muskito nets you have to use :-) I highly recommend, and I am definitely coming

Hostal Casa Moreno se nachází v destinaci Moyogalpa a má venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. Tento hostel se 3 hvězdičkami nabízí bar. The room was nice and right next to the pool. The rooftop is stunning and the staff was very friendly

Raindance se nachází v destinaci Santa Cruz a nabízí ubytování u pláže, venkovní bazén, zahradu a bar. Jen 1,7 km odtud je Pláž Playa de Santo Domingo. The friendly staff, the bar atmosphere and the good food. I also love the pod beds with privacy curtains and they actually provide a USBC cable in the beds which was helpful because I left my charger in the last hostel I stay in!

Rainbow Caravan Hostel se nachází v destinaci Las Pilas a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a barem. Sopka Maderas je 17 km daleko. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita se nachází v destinaci Altagracia a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a terasou. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
