Chalet Noriker is a modern 4 bedroom chalet in the charming village of Niedernsill near Zell am See and Kaprun. The chalet has triple glazing and underfloor heating throughout, oak floors, wonderful bathrooms and magnificent high ceilings. Chalet Noriker is 125m2 and feels spacious from the moment you step inside. Set over 2 floors with a lovely winding wooden staircase, there are mountain views to both sides, 2 large balconies and a small garden with shaded terrace. Each room is spacious and well equipped with triple wardrobe space and lots of suitcase storage space. There are 2 ensuite bathrooms, 1 large family bathroom with bath and shower and an additional toilet in the entrance area. There is a heated store with plenty of space for skis / bikes and washing. Bedroom 4 has a fold out sofabed and TV - perfect for kids to enjoy their own space. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. Parking is available for max 2 vehicles. The chalet is a 5-10 minute walk on level ground from the centre of Niedernsill.

We are an English family with 3 kids who fell in love with Niedernsill and the local area when we first visited a few years ago. In England we love cycling, walking, swimming and horse riding and Niedernsill offered all this and more. Our kids love Austria - the Niedernsill lake, The Tauern Spa and the many family trails in the mountains. As parents, we love the safety, clean and healthy environment and year round activities.

Niedernsill is a charming, beautiful village ideally located for accessing multiple centres across the region. The ski areas of Kaprun and Zell am See can be reached within a 15 minute drive and the Kitzbuhel ski area can be reached within 20 minutes at Mittersill. Niedernsill is a perfect location for families with its own bathing lake and a recreation ground offering: tennis, crazy golf, kids' playground, climbing wall, skate park and archery centre. The village also offers a bakery, pharmacy, Tourist Information Centre, 2 supermarkets, a bike shop and some decent restaurants. Hire bicycles and you can take advantage of safe, flat lanes to cycle to nearby villages including Piesendorf (with a great outdoor swimming pool) or the Hohe Tauern Spa in Kaprun (about 1 hour family cycle ride from the house). From the village train station, you can reach destinations along the valley including Krimml Waterfall and Zell am See lake or Mittersill, the entrance to the Hohe Tauern National Park. If you are looking for bright lights and apres ski, this location is not for you but if you are looking for beauty, tranquillity, nature and a safe family location, Niedernsill is perfect.
