Company information

We are a Dutch couple with hospitality experience that strives to let people/families enjoy a well-deserved holiday. You will find a friendly welcome and all the help you may need. We are ready for you to let you enjoy your holiday to the fullest. In our cozy Stube there are sitting areas, where you can enjoy breakfast, but also a drink. You can order freshly baked bread rolls from us every day. The necessary information about the region can be found in the Stube; You can also play a fun game with the football table, the billiards, the ping-pong table or outside at the Balket or Batminton. In the entrance hall there is a cupboard full of reading books to borrow and board games for young and old. If you need anything, just ask us. We will do our best to arrange it for you! Around the Christmas period, it is worth visiting the Christmas markets of Velden, Portschach and the Pyramidenkogel. Weekly markets: Thu and Sat morning in Klagenfurt and on Tue morning in Villach, farmer's market on Thu evening between 5/10 p.m. Faak am See etc. etc.. Winter sports are also a possibility, 20 minutes by car you will find the Kanzelbahn, with free parking, which takes you to the Gerlitzen ski area.

Property information

Since July 7, 2017 we have reopened Gasthof/pension Egger. We are new owners and have renovated the entire complex into 6 apartments and 2 studios. The apartments/studios are equipped with new fully equipped kitchens, spacious rooms and completely newly furnished, except for two apartments all have a walk-in shower. All but one of them have a spacious balcony with views over the mountains and the garden. In the garden you will find patio chairs and tables, sun loungers, lounge sets, a BBQ, swimming pool and playground equipment for the children that you can all use for free. A water stream runs past our house where the children, but also the dog, can play and cool off. At 2 min. walking you have a pond where the dog can swim with adjacent forest for walking. At 5 min. view of the Karawanks and the Pyramid Bullet in the backyard. With 20 min. you can walk to the fashionable Velden am Wörthersee.

Neighbourhood information

The house is located in the municipality of Velden am Wörthersee. The region is ideal for relaxing on or in the water of the many lakes it has to offer, not only the Wörthersee, but also the Ossiachersee, Faakersee, Keutschachersee, Fortsee, Rauschelesee, Langsee, at all these lakes you can swim. Furthermore, tour boats, speedboats, pedal boats, sailboats, kayaks, subs, bicycles, etc. are available for rent to enjoy all facets. For cyclists many signposted cycling routes. If you prefer to drive an Almstrasse by car, you can choose between the Dobriach at Villach, Nockalmstrasse, Gerlitzen alpenstrasse, Wurzelpass or Loibi Pass, all with many S-bends and breathtaking viewpoints. In winter, the Gerlitzen (Treffen) is the place to enjoy your ski holiday. The gondola with spacious parking lot is a 20-minute drive away.

Please note that the bunk beds are only suitable for children and youngsters up to 17 years of age and younger/up to 70 kg or less.

Please note that you can use the parking with 1 car for free, except for the apartments with 3 bedrooms, there are 2 places available for this. If you come with several cars, they will have to be parked on the grass and you will pay € 2.50 per car per day extra, here is also room surveillance.

Please note that late check-out (is at 2 p.m. the latest) this is possible for an additional payment of € 35. This also applies to people who would like to check in before 4 p.m. if the room is empty and cleaned on time.

Please note that our Whirlpool can be used for an additional charge of €5 per person per 30 minutes and that is only in use during the winter season (November until March).

When travelling with pets, please note that an extra charge of between € 5,00 - € 7,50 per pet, per night applies, with a maximum of € 35,00 per stay. Please note that a maximum of 2 pets is allowed.
