Introducing your hosts, Merel and Michael! Hi, we are Merel and Michael and we moved to Austria in 2016. Michael is from Schladming, and for the last 10 years he lived in Holland. When we got the opportunity to move back and build the Lodge on family land, we grabbed it with both hands and here we are! For centuries the descendants of the family " Anleintner" lived on this beautiful land surrounded by nature.  Ourselves, we love living in the mountains and enjoy combining our family life with farming and running the Lodge.

At the bottom of the mighty Dachstein glacier lies the cozy town of Schladming. Within walking distance you will find your wonderful place to spend a lovely vacation... our Lodge! Natural, warm en robust... Piekvier Lodge is a traditional Austrian country house with a beautiful view over the valley.   From the house you can watch the wonderful sunrise and -set. The whole interior is fitted with all modern appliances. ​ The house has a robust look and is partly build with local materials. It has a lot of warm and colorful features. The style of the house is a mixture of traditional Austrian and modern Dutch influences.

Schladming is a part of the Ski amadé area in Austria. The ski pass is valid for 5 regions with a length of 760 km slopes. There are 270 ultra-modern lifts that give access to slopes of various difficulty levels. The "Vierschaukel" ski area Schladming-Dachstein consists of 188 km of slopes. There are 3 ski/snowboard schools for children (above 4 years) and adults. This is a wonderful place that offers plenty of variety for  Beginners and Advanced skiers. Facilities Every day the skibus stops twice per hour in front of the apartments. It will take you to the stadion of the Planai mountain. Here you can reach the top with one of the modern ski lifts. In the neighbourhood there are several shops and aprés-ski bars / discotheques (25).   ​From the mountain Planaï you can ski to the other three mountains: Hochwurzen, Hauser Kaibling en Reiteralm. 100% of the slopes offer snow cannons and most ski lifts have a snow cover and/or heating There are many events and also in summer there's enough to explore (walking, swimming hiking, bicycle, golf, mountainbike, kids adventure, horse back riding etc)
