For years we have had the privilege of enjoying the serene beauty of the Ilparpa Valley, and at last we are able to share it with others. With an abundance of wildlife, from the loud chatter of the birds in the trees, to the kangaroos that come to drink from the water-troughs, the lizards which bask all day on sun-dappled rocks, and even, occasionally, the dingoes, Squeakywindmill is a true Central Australian landscape experience.… and we hope you love it too.

Closed to ARRIVALS mondays to wednesday, accommodation comes in the form of three beautiful, Eco-Tents, elevated among the exquisite landscape of Central Australia. Squeakywindmill's Boutique Tent B&B accommodation provides a peaceful place to be surrounded by nature, with all the comforts of home. We offer: easy parking Baby Weber Q BBQ, and.... a campfire on winter evenings! An en-suite bathroom with shower, basin, WC and soft towels, small kitchenette furnished with the kitchenware required to assemble a meal, split system heating/cooling, electric blankets in winter, warm robes in winter soft quilts with all linen hairdryer, flatscreen TV, a SMOKE FREE environment to all our guests (and ask that you smoke at the entrance of the property, on public land.) Overnight tariff includes a light breakfast of toast, jams, cereals, fruit, and pod/plunger coffee/tea.

Squeakywindmill is a peaceful place for those who want to enjoy the true colours of the Outback. Situated out of the main Alice Springs township, its an easy drive to anywhere. We are close to the Western Mac Waterholes, native wildlife, Kangaroo Sanctuary, Pyndan camel rides, hiking trails (Larapinta and others, that require much less preparation and stanima!) and Museums, are just some of the attractions of this picturesque place in the heart of Central Australia.
