The apartment is a commercial space I transformed to be my main residency and also an additional source of income in order to support my recently launched start-up. The idea was to make room renting as convenient as possible for both guests and host, for a tech person like me it meant hundreds of smart devices and orchestration routines to maximized energy, guaranty security and minimize human management. This means a fully autonomous check-in process that is secure and user friendly so you can feel truly at home with an instant access to the amenities you need when you need it. Guests receive a personal code functional from the check-in date and time to the check out date and time. It gives access to the building, the apartment and your bedroom. The space between the building and apartment door is equipped with cameras to control entries and exits and locks are automated. The whole apartment is shared between guests, my partner and myself, like temporary roommates. Rule of thumb is if you can easily access or touch something, it is meant to be used by everyone. You will find: On top of regular amenities, every room has: -FireTV 45 inches with Netflix, Prime, Bell Fibe TV and any streaming service you own -Dedicated workspace with ergonomic chair -The fastest internet connexion on the market. -A shared bathroom for guests with a bathtub/shower, bidet, iron, hair dryer, washing machine, dryer, detergent, softener, anti-static, bodywash, shampoo, conditioner and plenty of towels. -A fully equipped kitchen with inox appliances, oven, dishwasher, microwave, pots and pan, a wok, fondu and raclette kit, air fryer, spices, regular and Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine (People, Bring you own pods its super expensive), boiler, toaster and pressure cooker. -A common area with a 65 inches TV, sound system, couches and a dining/tabletop table with boardgames. These are the modern stays.

Im an old 31 year old entrepreneur who studied actuary and workwe in the field a few years, long enough to understand the corporate environment was not for me. Since my startup is a company of one, more than a way to make ends meet, and hosting is also a way to keep my place alive. So feel free to really make yourselves at home, as it is expected and appreciated.

Good thing about renovating a commercial building is living on a commercial street which mean next to the apartment you have: -Restaurants and Shops -Free street parking outside of business hours -A Fast-Charge Spot for Electric Cars next to the building -2 bus route that brings you under 10 minutes from and to the metro station Honoré-Beaugrand I term of scenery, the neighbourhood itself is not a touristic spot and hotels are not authorized to operate in it. It's a unique opportunity to discover Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and experience the regular Montrealers life only a 20 minutes drive away from downtown.
