Our house is completely off the grid so we have to be mindful of our resources. We do like comforts and conveniences so we have made every effort to make our house meet your expectations. You will enjoy showers with hot water, good wifi, washing machine, high quality solar electricity system, gas range, and much more. Most of these things you will not find at hotels in the area. We also like to keep a very clean and tidy house. Please reach out with any questions.
Avid travelers and nature lovers. We are working towards building a small boutique type hotel on our property. Until then we are sharing our house with the world. Details are important to us and we hope that you have everything you need during your stay. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us or Gary if you have any questions or need anything. There is so much to do and see in the area and we can help plan if you would like. Welcome!
Carate does not have any stores or restaurants. The last opportunity to buy food, supplies, and gas are in Puerto Jimenez. Please make sure you stock up before you head our way. On request, we can make dinner reservations at any of the local hotels if you would like. We can also provide a grocery service or bring in a chef to cook for you. Anything you need we can coordinate for you
