We are the ONLY bungalows directly on the BEACH 🏖️ in the Manuel Antonio area close to the most famous seafood 🍤 restaurant. Next to waterfall cascades, our 🏊♀️ river and Isla Damas, famous for mangroves + wildlife, birds, gators, 🐊 monkeys, fish, sloths, butterflies and the ONLY baby TURTLE 🐢 release. Manuel Antonio Park is great for rainbow fish snorkeling + wildlife tours + its dual beach island spit shape…+ See bioluminescence from our private beach. We have sea/sunset views + starry nights. We designed the cabins for beach views + they are aerodynamic with a sunken bathroom so you get the fresh sea breeze/ sounds of waves. Each has its own kitchenette balcony and toilet/ shower. It’s called “Coconut Place”. There are water activities eg catamaran waterslides for dolphin/whale viewing, hover boarding, jet skiing, parasailing, fishing, sauna/spa, surfing so see UNIQUE to area eg marina🛥️yachts. The cabin interior eg kitchenette is basic. Some main restaurants offer room service. This is a budget (not resort) hotel.
Our rustic cute cabins are in an authentic village. It is for you if you like endless beaches and an escape from the tourist crowd. The place is perfect for yoga, tree hugging, bohemian types :) This is a fishermen’s village + they are kind. There is some poverty/ recycling some guests are not used to. Please be mindful these are the homes of locals.
This little piece of paradise is not for you if occasional dog barks + roosters crowing bother you or insects. We are in front of the pale blue church (Iglesia de Dios) on the one and only road on the beach…on Cocal / @turtle beach. Big green curtains, black wall. We do require identification verification upon physical self check in within reception hours, please send. You can go via ferry/ boat open 24/7 runs each 30 seconds only 50 cents takes a minute, or by road, either is a few minutes, park in road or via private, secured (boat) parking. All conveniences are near + we are close to the main town.
There are mud+hot springs nearby as well as waterfalls, rappelling, zip-lining, white river water rafting, bird watching, surfing, butterfly, chocolate medicinal herb tours, a farmers market with exotic fruit like starfish fruit/mangosteen, tapestry markets with local or Mexican design. Salsa dancing or cooking classes. ATV driving, night animal tours. There are great clubs for dancing and bars everywhere and mini markets. The high end hotels are the highest rated in the world and it’s worth it to try their cuisine and drinks. Costa Rica has pretty beaches of multiple colors, some are yellow, some pink, some black and some white. The sea colors change due to coral from various greens to blues. The worlds longest waterslide and zipline is here. There is a local waterslide park too, but we no longer have pools. You can get massages/ do yoga/ meditate or visit a shaman. People here are known to live to 120 years old. A lot of indigenous people live here and they have a rich entertaining history if you care to look it up. It is a melting pot of Nicaraguan/Panamanian/Cuban and Costa Rican (seafood) cuisine meant for an immersive experience into Costa Rican culture.
We also recommend all rainforests and National Parks/ beaches and viewing treehouses in Costa Rica. Canopy/white river rafting are our favorites and glass bottomed or kayak boat tours in Damas. Just over the border are Bocas del Toro islands if you have time or Omotepe Island. Local “Fraiche” perfume and coffee are great gift ideas. We suggest you go through Damas Island with your picnic basket for a picnic up to turtle sanctuary, to see nature there (or rescue babies/ by appointment). Please see our profile link here. You can also only see alligators here and this is possibly the best surf swim beach in area.
