In one of the most spectacular areas in Germany, surrounded by 2700-metre high mountains and crystal clear mountain lakes, the village Schönau am Königssee lies nestled in the Berchtesgaden National Park. This nature park is the only Alpine nature reserve and recognised by UNESCO as a special protection area for wildlife such as the ibex or eagle as well as native plants such as the Edelweiss. Towering above everything is the steep mountain ridge of the Watzmann, which is covered with snow for most of the year and offers beautiful hiking opportunities. You can ride the 'Jennerbahn' (cable car) to high altitudes and hike through the alpine landscape. These spacious and comfortably furnished flats are situated at the edge of Schönau.
