Our cottage lies peacefully just a short walk from Vejby Strand’s unique coastline, dotted with small lagoons and cliffs, with steps leading down to the narrow beach. The area is known for its breathtaking views over the Kattegat and nearby natural sights like the rolling, heather-covered hills of Heatherhills, reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands. This is not just a holiday home – it’s a place for slow mornings, bare feet on the grass, and moments that stay with you long after you’ve returned home. The house itself features two cozy bedrooms with simple, honest decor, plus a year-round insulated annex that sleeps two. There’s also a charming 18-square-meter orangery. In the orangery, we gather for morning coffee in the sun’s rays, for lunch sheltered from summer rain, and for long conversations when darkness falls. Everything here is simple and atmospheric. We’ve preserved the house’s original soul while also making sure it feels cozy, functional, and warm all year round. It’s a home, not a hotel – something you truly feel the moment you arrive. The area is part of the Danish Riviera – the coastline between Tisvildeleje, Gilleleje, and Hornbæk – known for its unique light, charming seaside villages, and proximity to both sea and forest.
