Apartment Isabel is a recently renovated, spacious, 2 bedrooms apartment, 15 minutes drive from Sorbas, that can sleep 4 people (both sofa's can be used as sofa beds in lounge to sleep 2 extra guests, extra charge paid locally). and must be arranged prior to staying. Only 45 min drive from Almeria Airport. Fully furnished with fitted kitchen, oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, Flat screen Smart TV / Playstation 3 & DVD library, complementary Wi-Fi, air-con/heating. Gas BBQ, outside table and seating area. Private pool. Open usually from May to October, depending on when it gets too cold to swim. Bedding and towels provided. It has stunning views of the surrounding area and is a great place to walk or cycle, or just to chill out under the stars or by the pool.
We are a young English family, very friendly and chilled animal lovers welcoming to all nationalities. Native English speakers but learning more Spanish by the day. Our home is Cortijo Isabel, originally built as a shepherd's inn over 200 years ago and has rustic period features, built in stone and full of character and 15 minutes drive to the town of Sorbas. The apartment is on the side of the the main house, set on the hill with amazing views of the valley, great for cycling and walking. We can help with bike hire and personal cycling tours, either mountain bikes for the more rugged rider or trekking bikes suitable for road or gravel trails. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or want some hardcore biking, our local tour guide can design the routes depending on your needs. Bookings would need to be made in advance. For the less adventurous there is the e-bike hire option which they can provide too. Please contact us to book.
Los Castaños is a small hamlet situated 15 mins drive from the historical town of Sorbas. Famous for its caves and pottery. The town contains all basic amenities including restaurants, bar's and small supermarket's and petrol station. Our house is situated on a hilly road and frequently enjoyed by professional cyclists and motor cyclists because of the scenic drive. Beaches of Mojacar. Cabo de Gata and Carboneras are 25 minutes away. AquaVera Waterpark 25 minutes drive. Lunar Cable Park (water sports) 30 min drive Pulpi Geode also close boasting the underground crystal caves. Close to Tabernas the only desert in Spain which has the theme park of Oasys Mini-Hollywood and Fort Bravo which were used as the film sets for most Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Western films. Also filmed in the region was Lawrence of Arabia, Cleopatra and Indiana Jones.
