The owners of the cottages live in Sørvágur, Faroe Islands, where we've lived the majority of our lives. We enjoy meeting new people so please feel free to contact us f you have any questions. We all only a 15min drive away and are always happy to help if there is anything you need, or to answer any questions you might have. Ask away!

Property information

The Múlafossur Cottages are located by the world-renown waterfall in the village Gásadalur on the Faroe Islands. There are six cottages, all similar but slightly different in layout and capacity. It is a truly magical and secluded place with sights of sheep, birds and highland cows - all nestled by the river that leads down to the waterfall. As a bonus the cottage is only a 15-20min drive from the only Faroese airport, shops and cafes as well as some of the most astounding Faroese sceneries such as Drangarnir, Tindhólmur and the lake Sørvágsvatn.

Neighbourhood information

It is completely up to the individual how they wish to travel around the islands. Most people rent a car at the airport, but some people travel by bus or hitchhike. However, there is very limited public transport to this remote village, so we recommend renting a car at the airport.
