Alpine Hideout is a cosy apartment in the heart of Les Deux Alpes. It sleeps four people, has a fully equipped kitchen area, dining table, sitting room, etc. Access to the ski slopes is a very short walk away, across the road. A lovely romantic bolthole for two, or a sweet family apartment for a good value ski trip.

Welcome to the Alpine Hideout! I've been hooked on skiing and cycling since my formative years, and as soon as circumstances permitted, it was a natural step to take to buy a bolthole which would make multiple trips to the mountains halfway affordable! Making it available for rent is a way of offsetting the operating costs and keeping it going year on year. We love coming here as much as we can, which isn't as much as we'd like, and we hope you will too! Obviously, living in Sussex means that I can't look after things on the ground in France, so Sarah Wilson of Lungostyle Apartments - who lives in L2A - handles the check ins and departures on my behalf. Sarah will liaise with you about your arrival and ensure your check-in goes smoothly.

As a high mountain resort, Les 2 Alpes is unusual in that it is also a thriving village community, with schools, businesses and local shops open year round. I think this gives it an authenticity which many of its competitors lack, and there is a tangible civic pride! Obviously, there is a wide choice of bars and restaurants to keep you fed and watered, if that's your wish. The ski area has over 220 km of pistes, but should you tire of this, Alpe d'Huez and Serre Chevalier are nearby (in alpine terms, at least!) and a day in each is available free of charge on a six day L2A lift pass, which is a nice touch. Ski touring in the Oisans is practically limitless, and in summer there's the Alps' last lift-served glacier skiing, world class MTB tracks, canyoning, lake swimming and a host of other activities. You are quite unlikely to get bored!
