In addition to “Baseldytsch” (Ursula) and “Lozaerner” Dialect (Andreas), we both speek German, English and French. Ursula is happy to take care of our guests who speak Italian or Spanish. Otherwise we know to communicate with our hands and feet.

Property information

The enchanting Bed & Breakfast «Envie de Sud», an old Winery House built around 1850, is located in the heart of Vauvert. A Bed & Breakfast house with a true soul built by hosts who have fallen in love with the house itself, its secret courtyard and of course the beautiful landscape of Camargue Gardoise and its rich history and culture. We love to make your stay unique. Of course we communicate fluent in German, French, English, Spanisch and Italian. Two stylish Bed & Breakfast rooms with private bathroom, a very nice Suite with a sunny terrace and two individual apartments give space for a maximum of 12 guests. Fleecy towels, quality linens and fragrant “Savon de Provence” will spoil you. A free and powerful internet connection is self-evident. The cozy garden and the Roman pool invite you to relax and enjoy the summer breeze. Daily, we offer a rich breakfast and several times a week we serve a social dinner at the family and guest table (table d’hôtes). Chef Ursula loves to get fresh ingredients from the market and prepare a delicious meal. Accompanied by really good local wine. Our promise: Savoir vivre in Swiss quality.

Neighbourhood information

Vauvert is a small town in Petite Camargue in Southern France. Not far from Nîmes, Arles, Montpellier, Aigues-Mortes and Grau-du-roi with its famous beach Espiguette and the mayor port of the area. Starting from Vauvert you will find endless cycling and hiking routes in the landscapes of Costières de Nîmes and the wetlands of the Camargue Gardoise. All year round you can count on the sun and enjoy walks and outdoor activities. Sometimes mistral is blowing a bit but generally we are blessed with stable weather. The house is located in the heart of the little city just a few steps from the “Mairie” (town hall) and the “Halles” (market place). Wednesdays and Saturdays are market day in the streets of Vauvert. Don’t miss this typical South France feeling and stroll over the market and have a pastis at the local bar. Apart from that, Vauvert is quiet. Just right for those who want to relax and enjoy life during their holiday.
