The suite is located on the first floor in the west wing of the house which is privatised for your use and is accessed via a separate staircase. It includes a 22 m2 bedroom, a 14 m2 living room, an area with basic kitchen equipment and a bathroom. You have free access to the outdoor space which includes a large infinity south-facing pool with an exceptional view and sun-loungers, deck chairs and parasols are provided. There are various other options for enjoying the views and the calm including a shady west terrace with table and chairs for al-fresco dining beneath the vine covered pergola, a north terrace to hide from the heat of the summer sun and a couple of deckchairs for lounging in the shade of the oak trees. In addition, there is a large boules pitch and a swing for younger guests. On the landing, there is a fridge available for your private use as well as a microwave and kettle together with coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits. Plates, bowls, mugs, coffee cups, water and wine glasses, cutlery, small chopping board, sharp knife, washing up bowl and drying rack are all provided so that you have all you need to have a picnic on site. Please note that my dog (Kaya) and cat (Alfie) live with me although neither of them have access to the suite. Due to the tranquil location, a car is required for a stay at this property. For guests with younger children, parental supervision is required at all times when outdoors as the swimming pool area is not fenced.

I am the happy owner of the Gites de la Crose since May 2021. A former International Events Manager, the decision to change my life so dramatically was prompted by a desire to fulfil a dream – of escaping corporate life to live simply, in a beautiful area and where the sun shines brightly – and all whilst I am still relatively young. Originally from England, I've been living in France for over fifteen years now. A former International Events Manager, I enjoy meeting and hosting new people, ensuring that my guests want for nothing during their stay and that everything runs smoothly. I like swimming, nature, sunrises, early morning walks with my dog and sharing an aperitif in the sun with friends, old and new.!! I also have a cat at the property who I adore but whom you will probably never see.!!

Nestled amongst organic vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields, truffle oaks and other regional vegetation, the Gites de la Crose enjoys an exceptional view of Mont Ventoux, the Baronnies valley and the pretty village of Vinsobres perched on the hill. With no passing traffic and no immediate neighbours, it is the ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries. The property comprises of two holiday homes plus my family home (180 m2) in which the private suite (47 m2) is located. Vinsobres is a typical Provencal village located in the north of Provence and the area is reputed to be blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year. The village is beautifully maintained with many traditional stone buildings, a Protestant temple and a Catholic church. Shops include a small supermarket, bakery, post office, two hairdressers and there’s also a very good café/restaurant (open during the warmer months), all available within walking distance (20 minutes) from the gites. Other highlights in the area include Mont Ventoux (the holy-grail for cyclists), a multitude of hiking routes and many climbing spots including les Dentelles de Montmirail. The towns of Orange and Avignon are less than an hour’s drive away and Nîmes, Arles (Camargue), Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Cassis are less than two hours away. The nearest international airport is in Marseille at about 1.5 hour's drive away. Avignon (1 hour away) can be accessed by the TGV train. Both locations have car hire available.
