People say that I am a cheerful and an enthousiatic lady. I love life, nature, travels and a gourmet. I have been a Travel Agency Director for 20 years in France. And then I was the Owner of a guesthouse. My parents passed on their passion for this region more than 20 years ago when only a few privileged tourists had discovered the area. Beynac is more than a village, it is a medieval site with a very special atmosphere.

Our apartment the JACQUOU, with an area of 50 m², is located in the heart of the medieval village of Beynac and Cazenac, one of the most beautiful villages in France. It consists of 2 rooms and a large, very bright bathroom. Access to the Jacquou is via the old cobbled pathway leading to the castle. The walls of the house were an integral part of the ramparts in the Middle Ages. The window in the bedroom is actually an old arrow slit. Tradition and modernity! A tradition of over 500 years of history, reflected in the ochre stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and the pointed window in the living area. Modernity with: * a living area featuring a kitchen corner, a dining area with a table and 4 chairs, and a lounge area with a television and a sofa. * a bedroom equipped with a canopy double bed (140cm x 190cm) and upon request, we can add a small extra bed for a child (or a crib). * a large bathroom with a sink and a shower cabin.

Beynac : beautiful medieval village where it is good to spend holidays. Small streets, the castle , the banks of river Dordogne, the little shops and also very cosy restaurants. Only 10 km away from the City of Sarlat - the gem of Perigord Noir. In 35km distance, in Montignac, you find the paleolithic caves of Lascaux with its more than 17.000 years old paintings and you can experience the relationship between animals and prehistoric mankind in the Parc du Thot. In 25 minutes by car you reach Les Eyzies de Tayac, cradle of prehistoric living. Even closer: Castelnaud, medieval village and fortified castle. Castle of Milandes and exhibition, former home to Josephine Baker. La Roque Gageac, populated area since 8th century. Domme, fortified village, founded in 11th century, also classified as one of „les plus beaux villages de France“. The river bend of Montfort. The little villages of Cenac and Vitrac. Other unrivalled places to see: Padirac' s cave, the very special villages of Rocamadour or Collonges la Rouge. But Périgord also means numerous little markets in every village.
