La Loge Sagrolle is set in the heart of rural France, very tranquil and surrounded by fields, hedges and trees, It is in easy driving distance of all the usual amenities including various restaurants, museums and shops. La Châtre is just 20 minutes away. Our two double and one triple (double plus single bed) bedrooms are all upstairs and each has a private bath or shower room. There is also a small lounge/breakfast room with desk and table and good Wifi reception as well as tea/coffee making facilities. The main conservatory breakfast room has a fridge, kettle coffee machine etc. For evening meals: - please ask for details and needs to be reserved 48 hours before arrival - main course and dessert is 22 euros; alternatively there are 2 restaurants within 6-10 minutes by car. In our local area we have plenty of visitor attractions from châteaux and gardens, to lakes with beaches and activities for all ages including ski-nautique just 10 minutes away. There are zoos, wine regions (including Sancerre), a waterpark all within 2 hours that make for excellent family days out.

Debi and daughter Caity have lived here for many years. They have two dogs and a cat (which live next door with Debi and Caity) and two free range ducks, and two chickens. Debi is an artist (sculpture and paintings). Debi's late parents bought the property 22 years ago. Dad converted the barn himself with his wife Anne (who originally ran the bed and breakfast), in to what is now a comfortable home.

The house is one of three set in the rural countryside, close to the exact centre of France. The bed and breakfast lovely unspoilt views of garden and countryside. Next door (adjoining) is Debi and Caity's home, and attached to that is our lovely French neighbour, Gérard. You'll occasionally here him on his tractor. He's retired and has some sheep and poultry. The houses are set at the end of a quiet lane, that turns in to a green lane just outside the house. It is a great location to go walking or cycling. About 10 minutes drive is Châteaumeillant (a small AOC wine region). There is an excellent restaurant there, that is not expensive but very good quality food and service. Ste Sévère-sur-Indre is about 6 minutes drive and has two restaurants, a supermarket, butcher, bakery and a superb Scenovision museum dedicated to the film-maker Jacques Tati who filmed Jour de Fête here in 1947.
