Logis du Poirier is situated just outside the small village of Juignac, 5 minutes from Montmoreau, with all amenities and 15 minutes from Aubeterre Sur Dronne. The are 5 airports approximately 1.5 hrs away and easy train links to Paris from Angoulême. We think the property dates back to the early 1800s and it is built in the Longère style, which is quite unusual for this area. Set in 8 hectares we are located down a tree lined road and you will find a peaceful and charming setting. The exterior of the house is poised ready for a little facelift but inside you will find comfortable bedrooms with private ensuite facilities. Breakfast and dinner is served in the modern, newly refurbished dining room.
We are relatively new to hosting, but we love welcoming visitors to our home and we are proud to share our beautiful surroundings here in SW France. We spend much of our time working to improve and develop our property, which will eventually become 3 gîtes. We love caring for our animals and taking time out to explore new places and spending time with friends.
This is a quiet rural area easily accessed from the main road to Aubeterre Sur Dronne, which is a popular medieval village, with many facilities. The gorgeous nearby town of Angoulême is worth visiting as is Montmoreau, just on our doorstep with its public swimming pool, 3 restaurants and supermarket.
