I have made my appartment a haven and escape where guests feel at home and can totally relax and unwind. The hamlet is quiet, with clear skies and zero light-pullution and (weather permitting!) beautiful stars. The nightingales sing, the owl hoots, the wind rustles in the leaves and the sun slowly rises over the adjoining lavender field. A perfect base from which to walk, hike, cycle and visit delicious restaurants and vinyards. The historical village of Lherm is closeby as is the Zadkine museum in Les Arques. The bastide villages of Cazals, Villefranche du Perigord are also close. Cahors, Rocamadour, St Cirq La Popie, Puy L'eveque the list of beautiful villages and towns is endless and all have their markets, medieval architecture, river views and welcoming locals.
I love living in the Lot department of France and welcome the opportunity to introduce visitors to this magical area. I enjoy travelling and enjoy meeting others of the same persuasion! Be it for business, a family reunion, a sporting event or fun and relaxation, it is always a pleasure to meet new people and help them make the most of their time in the region.
The chambre d'hote is in a small hamlet of 6 ancient stone houses, 2 kms from the historically listed village of Lherm and oposite a lavender farm. The iconic 'Bar a Trucs' is located in Lherm as the is Brasserie de la Bouriane - a local brewery producing delcious organic artisan beers. Nearby is Les Arques with the fascinating Zadkine museum and slightly further afield is Cahors, a beautiful medieval town with a famous fortified bridge. The annual Gindou film festival brings film enthusiasts to the area in August. The Cahors Blues Festival is also very popular. There is plenty of swimming closeby in the Lot at Castelfranc, the Lac vert , Cayx or Cazals lake. There are weekly markets in Prayssac, Cazals, Catus all less than 15 minutes away. Lherm boasts TWO goat frams producing delicious Rocamadour cheese amongst others.
