Modern south facing, two bedroom first floor apartment in Petit Châtel (1280 mtr altitude, approx. 2 km from Châtel centre) sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults 2 children. Accommodation comprises: Lounge/kitchenette, 1 twin bedroom and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds, shower room with WC, separate WC, balcony with glorious views of Châtel and the valley. Parking space, garage for mountain bikes, and a large external cupboard (Cave) for skis as well as ample cupboard space inside the apartment. We have WiFi, English Satellite TV as well as French TV. There is a frequent free bus service to Châtel Centre and lift stations that stops right outside. The nearest Ski lift is approx .5 km away. The apartment is on the 1st floor, accessed from the 3rd floor entrance, so some stairs to negotiate.
My wife and I are retired and live in Horsham, West Sussex, UK. We rent out our apartment in Châtel when we, or our family, are not using it.
Châtel is within the Portes du Soleil giving access to over 600km of ski runs. In the summer the village is a Mecca for mountain bikers with an excellent bike park, permanent downhill runs and plenty of cross country routes..

Price includes: heating, electricity, water, WiFi, snow clearance of the communal drive way & parking spaces (subject to spaces being empty when snow plough arrives), and cleaning of communal areas in the building. Not included: bed linen (sheet, duvet cover & pillowcase), towels and tea towels.

There are no facilities for charging Electric Vehicles at our apartment. **THE APARTMENT BLOCK CANNOT COPE WITH THE POWER DEMAND** There are 2 public charging points in the centre of Châtel, and a TESLA charging point in Chapelle D'Abondance.

As is the custom in France, you will need to clean the apartment before you leave and cleaning materials are provided. However, if you would prefer not to clean the apartment yourself on departure, I can arrange for my Agent in Châtel to do it at a cost of 75 euros. Please let me know and I will endeavour to arrange cleaning, but it may not be possible for peak periods if insufficient notice is given. The cleaning charge can be deducted from the security deposit. If you decide to clean it yourself, we reserves the right to deduct a cleaning charge from the security deposit if it has not been done satisfactorily. Also, I can put you in touch with a local linen company, they charge around 20 Euros per person and around 20 Euros for delivery and collection.

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
