This warm and cosy property offers the guest fast fibre optic broadband, smart TV, a well stocked spacious kitchen with a dining area suitable for four, two bedrooms with wonderfully comfy beds (a double and a king), two workstations with Anglepoise lamps, a large bathroom with a walk in shower and a utility room with a washing machine/dryer. A large living room with a traditional wooden floor and a beautiful tiled fireplace lies at the front of the house and is ideal for guests to gather or simply just to curl up on the large sofa with a good book. For those summer evenings, the garden with its summer house and table and chairs is perfect for soaking up the last of the sun's rays, gin and tonic in hand with maybe a BBQ sizzling away! Guest access Guests will be met on arrival by a local person, shown around and given keys. This is an ideal time to find out as much as you can about the area. Due to licensing requirements, we are unable to accept check ins after 9pm. Please let us know at least 2 days before your booking date, your travel arrangements and arrival time to ensure someone is there for you and you are not kept waiting. Other things to note As the guest experience is important to us, we offer our guests bespoke tours across Scotland, local whisky tastings, private chefs if you are staying for a celebration and want something a bit more special, breakfast hampers and much more.
I love to sail and write novellas that can be enjoyed in one sitting. My books are 'The Cellist's Notebook' and 'The Rescue' and are available both as ebooks and as paperbacks on Apple Books and Amazon. Yours, Kittie Lambton
Situated only twenty miles to the east of Edinburgh, this renovated Victorian property is ideal for both visitors and business people who would like to be close to Edinburgh but don't want the city's hustle and bustle. Nestled in a traditional residential street just a 3 minute walk away from the High Street, this ancient town offers the visitor numerous independent shops, artisan cafes and quality restaurants as well as a farmers market held once a month in the High Street where you can buy fresh produce straight from the producers. Haddington has long been thought of as the gateway to central Scotland lying close to the A1 and surrounded by agricultural land. This bustling town has excellent bus routes straight into the heart of Edinburgh and to other parts of East Lothian. Drem train station is only a 9 minute drive away and a 15 minute journey into Edinburgh or, in the opposite direction, the beautiful Victorian coastal town of North Berwick. If you are visiting East Lothian for hiking, golf, cycling or trail running, Haddington and the surrounding area offers 12 beautiful trails. One of the best is the Riverside Walk which follows the Tyne as it winds its way around the town. It gives the visitor the opportunity to spot the otters that live on the banks, kingfishers and numerous other wildlife. There is free parking on the street directly outside the house.
