Roxburgh is a unique and spacious three bedroom river fronted property, providing couples and families with the most perfect coastal holiday home. Set in the quiet location of beautiful Shaldon Village, Roxburgh is well positioned on the river front and has the benefit of being central for all village amenities including a range of pubs, shops and cafes. The pretty seaside garden is perfect for al fresco dining where you can observe activity on the river whilst relaxing with a glass of wine! Roxburgh has its own parking space (for a small to medium sized car) on the property and front and rear gardens with the front garden bordering the estuary.
Roxburgh has been the family home for myself, my husband Chris and our two children for the past 28 years. The children have now left home and both Chris and I have recently retired from busy professional jobs. Venturing part-time into the world of holiday rental has meant that we are now taking the opportunity to try new things, visit new places and generally see life through a different lens! We will remain local to attend to any needs or issues. Should that not be the case we will have an experienced nominated person to do that in our absence! We will always be available via email and telephone and will respond to you as soon as we can
Shaldon is a beautiful village and offers a whole range of amenities for you to enjoy including pubs, cafe’s, an excellent butcher’s shop, baker’s shop, post office, chemist and gift shops. Shaldon has a popular river beach and just around the corner you can can find Ness Beach which you can access through the Smuggler’s Tunnel. Shaldon is the perfect place for a holiday by the seaside, paddle boarding, swimming, sailing and marine safaris are all popular activities. The South West coast path runs through the village as does the Templar way which follows the ancient route of the granite quarries on Dartmoor to the quay at Teignmouth. There is a regatta in late August with a range of beach and water based events plus a water carnival at the beginning of the school summer holidays. A passenger ferry located on Shaldon River Beach provides access to Teignmouth and there are also rail and bus options should you wish to venture further afield and don’t wish to take the car.
