We offer a warm Hebridean welcome within our modern family home. All 3 bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable, and all have en-suite facilities, king-sized beds, plus tea & coffee, Fresh Linen & towels are included in the price. Also Digital TV and free wifi access. Laundry services are available (charge) and overnight Bike storage(free). A daily continental breakfast is offered for guests. Guests have access to a shared lounge in the evenings and dining room where a microwave and utensils are provided for heating takeaways or pre-prepared meals, along with area for continental breakfast facilities. The family room-;studio room has its own facilities, and breakfast can be set up there on request. The property has had an Electric Vehicle Charger installed recently , can nbe used by guests at an additional cost. Ask at the tuime of use.
Born an bred in South Uist, paternal grandparents came rom Askernish and located to nearby Lochboisdale, where she was brought up. Gaidhlig speaking teacher, love outdoors and promoting all that South Uist offers as a holiday location. its culture and historical heritage.
Ard Buidhe is located in the village of Askernish, home to South Uist’s only Golf Club, the famous ‘Tom Morris’ 18 hole Course, There you will find a Club house, and cafe which serves tea& coffee, beverages along with stocking a wide variety of golfing leisure wear and some souvenir gifts. Lochboisdale ferry terminal is located less than 5 miles from property and Benbecula airport 25 mins drive North from the property. Our home offers panoramic views all around, and ideally located as a base to explore neighbouring Islands. Askernish offers an abundance of fishing and wildlife spotting across Loch Nighe to the North, views to the South towards the Isle of Barra, direct access to beautiful and scenic sandy beaches 5 mins drive to the West and to the East, access to many moorland walks through the hills and mountains. There is easy access to a choice of essential Hotels, cafés & tearooms and supermarket making locating your holiday here the perfect choice.
