Our house is called Burnside. It's a 3 storey house set in its own grounds with ample parking. we live on the property. One Bedroom Apartment This is a one bedroom self contained apartment on the ground floor of our house. Guests have their own access. There is a patio area outside where guests can enjoy the lovely sunshine (when it's there!) It has a microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. There is also a washing machine. The bedroom has a king size bed with otty mattress and the living room has a tv with Netflix and amazon prime amongst other channels. The bathroom has a large shower with towels and complimentary toiletries. There are porridge pots for breakfast and filtered water in the fridge along with a jug of fresh milk. Also a plentiful supply of tea and coffee, herbal, fruit teas. ROOM 1 KING SIZE ENSUITE; This room has a king size bed, with tea coffee making facilities and a small table top fridge with filtered water and fresh milk. There is a desk with chairs. Bathroom has a shower with complimentary toiletries. ROOM 2 SUPER KING ENSUITE; This newly opened room is on the top floor of our house. It's a shared access for guests, but there is a lockable door into the accommodation. It has a super king bed with otty mattress, tv with Netflix and amazon prime plus other channels. There is a tabletop fridge with filtered water and fresh milk. Also porridge pots, tea coffee and a filter coffee machine. The bathroom has a shower with complimentary toiletries and towels. David and i bought this house a few years ago and have spent the time working on it and getting our one bedroom apartment and ensuite rooms ready to welcome guests! We love hosting and have met some really interesting people from all over the world. We enjoy getting out and about in our motorhome, love being outdoors. and when i have the time love reading and spending time in our Garden.
Burnside is a railway side property set in a quiet part of the town (5 minutes away) and a lot of guests like it for this reason as you have the peace and quiet but are still close enough to pop in to town. There are no street lights so it gets pretty dark at night but we do provide a torch! There are lots of great places to eat in town, Eusk has fantastic seafood. Also the Waterfront Fishhouse on the Railway pier. Roxys cafe does a great breakfast and there is also a Wetherspoons called the Corryvreckan amongst lots of other places.
