Quaint little vintage camper in a very nice quiet garden with birds and flowers. Breakfast was at the patio on the main house with a great view of the Teigh valley. Hosts were lovely people, very accommodating. I’d definitely stay here again.

Down the Garden Path introduces Chloe, a beautifully restored French vintage caravan. Chloe is set in her own private wildlife area in our garden in Hennock, a small village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, overlooking the Teign Valley. Inside Chloe, there is a very comfortable snuggle bed (small double), storage for clothes, tea and coffee bar, breakfast bar, separate WC, with plumbed-in flushing toilet and mains water basin with h/c water. Just outside is The Shower Shack, a good-sized private room with electric-powered shower. W.machine, drier, iron and heater at a small extra cost Chloe’s wildlife area has a wildlife pond and a variety of plants, bees and butterflies for guests to watch and explore. Guests are welcome to use the terrace for observing hawks, kestrels and other birds in flight in the valley (binoculars provided), and to wander through the garden at their leisure. A zen-like gazebo can be used when available. Breakfast is served to guests by us, either in the caravan or on the terrace. At additional cost, we also provide packed lunches, our Romantic Cream Tea Picnic, or Afternoon Tea on the Terrace. Evening meals available on request at extra cost.
We have lived in Devon for 12 years and have a passion for the Devon landscape, and the stunning countryside views this lovely part of the country affords us. Our other passion is our home, our house and garden, which we love to share with others. We both work from home and are available at all times to ensure our guests have everything they need, and have the best experience of what we have to offer.
Hennock is a small village with many surrounding farms. It has some of the best views in Devon, with some amazing sunrises. It is very rural and provides many opportunities for walkers and cyclists to explore the picturesque countryside, woods and forests, rivers, streams and wild swimming areas. The high moors of Dartmoor are about 15 minutes drive away, with their stunning granite tors and wild ponies. There are many other country pursuits and activities available in the area, and a 40-minute drive will bring you to some lovely beaches and a beautiful coastline. The village has a typical Devonshire pub serving a selection of real ales and food. With panoramic views and a welcoming garden area, it is full of character and very friendly.
