In the unlikely scenario that the ferry is unable to sail for a variety of reasons - mechanical / weather etc then the operating company Caledonian MacBraynes will compensate you if you have to take emergency accommodation at or near the port of departure but will not compensate you for " unused accommodation " and it is strongly advised that you take out holiday insurance to cover such eventualities - however unlikely that may seem.
